I felt like scrapping...

And I finished two Rocky pages yesterday! First I was inspired by Kimberly's title so I had to scraplift it for this page. I also liked that the title reminded me of "A Horse and His Boy" from the Chronicles of Narnia. And here's what I came up with ...
Rocky totally thinks he's a lap dog! He just jumped up on Randi after we had cupcakes for her birthday. You can see the credits here.

These photos are from the same day. Rocky got a new duck toy and went ahead and mauled it. I kept think of the Bugs and Daffy cartoon every time it would quack "Duck season, rabbit season, duck season..." I think I had a t-shirt in high school with them fighting it out LOL! Oh, I just found some cartoons on You Tube YAY!!!! LOL! I have A.D.D.
Anyway, I also got a pm today from someone telling me she loved this page and had to scraplift it! :) You can see my credits here.

And here's one I did last week using Jennifer Trippetti's Sunrise Lounge kit at Scrapdish! :) You can see my credits here.

How do I look???

I FINALLY gave the blog a makeover! It's about freakin' time! So what do you think? I used one of Amy Blesser's supercool blog templates. And I used some bits and pieces from Kim Jensen's Pop Toppers at Scrapdish, Krista Mettler's Artistry Elements and Laughter kit at SBG, Jessica Bolton's Not Quite Men and Eclectic Needs Straight Stitching from SBG.

Greetings from all over the place!

Cleaning my desk, I found two things - my scanner and a big pile of postcards I haven't posted! I don't think I've shared any since last summer!

So let's see... the soup cans are from my trip to the MoMA in June 2006; Aunt Eileen and Uncle Bruce went to North Dakota to see the wild horses and help pick horses for a program t Rutgers; the Blue Bonnet Cafe is from Stacey's trip to Austin; I've been to Chicago twice now and have seen more of it from the postcards; Connie brought me the postcards from Witchita; we went to Dorney Park in the summer of 2006 and my sister, brother, etc. went to Sesame Place this summer; we saw Strawberry Fields play in June; the turtle is from Mom's trip to Hawaii; I picked up the Hoboken card at a fair this year; I'm not sure who went to Shenandoah - either my aunt or Melinda; and the flowers are from Aunt Eileen's trip to Arizona.

Here's my desk

I'm exhausted from playing with Kylie and Lucia yesterday. The two girls were so funny together. Kylie was so shy at first, but then warmed up a bit to her. I didn't get any shots of them together though because Kylie was glued to me for the most part.

I had brunch today with Randi and her friend Michelle. After that, I came upstairs to finish working on my desk mess. Here's how it looked before. (Actually it was worse than this photo from Feb.)

And here it is now!
I am pretty proud of myself! LOL! I know it's still cluttered - but I like clutter. What can I say, I have a lot of stuff. But that big piles are gone and I even hung up a bunch of stuff that Melinda and Correen might find familiar!

As for the rest of the weekend, I hurried home on Friday night, parked my car and took the light rail to Hoboken only to find out when I got there I had missed a call from Randi saying she was leaving!!!! She had been out since 3 pm. Teachers are punks! So I called my friend Billy instead and hung out with the gang at the Rover and had a lot of fun. I usually don't even go out on Friday nights.

I was trying to sleep in on Saturday, but I heard Kylie calling for me. She's learning to talk a lot more now, even though she still babbles a lot. She was pretty upset after her parents dropped her off (Taylor was a flower girl in Vesna's cousin's wedding yesterday) but she was calling me "Nonnie, come play." So cute! We had people in and out all day. Randi and Rocky were here. My Grandma and Aunt Lorraine came by, then Betty and Lucia and mom's friends Teri and Patty. We had pizza and cupcakes for Randi's birthday.

Here are some pics. The girls are getting so big... (sorry I'm too lazy to touch up)

And Randi's baby is pretty big too!

Hope you had a good weekend. We're having a Night Owls Chat tonight at RAKScraps! :) We had so much fun when we returned last weekend. Chat starts at 12:30 am EST/9:30 pm PST. And there'll be prizes!

RAKScraps October Mega Kit, a fundraiser, and walk for the cure

RAKScraps FREE October Mega Kit is here! This month's kit was created in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and celebrates all the women in our lives! You can find out how to get this kit by visiting our announcement forum. Each piece is available for a limited time only.
Rachel, Correen, Kim and I have created a coordinating Mega Kit Add On and Quick Page Album, which are now available at Scrapdish, where you'll also find the Mega Kit on CD. All sales (minus fees) will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support breast cancer research.

I am very happy that I was able to raise $375 for the Komen foundation for this year's walk for the cure. And my family's team raised $640!

We had a great time at the walk on Sunday. The walk was at Great Adventure this year, which was pretty cool. Part of the walk took us through Hurricane Harbor, where we posed for this photo.

After the walk, we went on a few rides at Great Adventure. The lines were long and I got pretty sick from the roller coasters. That's never happened before! But it was still lots of fun and it's always great to spend the day with my family.

I can't sleep!!!!!

This is not good! But this is what happens to me whenever I try to go to sleep early. My body thinks I am taking a nap. So I have been tossing and turning for the last two hours, trying to fall back a sleep. I took some Tylenol PM but it hasn't kicked in.

I'm getting up early because tomorrow is the Race for the Cure. So wish me luck that I'm not too tired!!!!!

And thanks again to all of you who have helped support me! I'll have an announcement soon from RAKScraps about how you can help the fight against breast cancer.

I'd rather drink a margarita

... than sing about them! Saw this on the Sweet Shoppe blog.

Your Karaoke Theme Song is "Margaritaville"

You are a true party animal, but your style is mild and chill.
Kicking back with a few friends and a few drinks is all you need to be happy.

You certainly don't feel pressured to be a part of any party scene. In fact, you avoid trendier spots.
You've been known to kick loose anywhere and everywhere. All you need is a cooler.

You might also sing: "Gin and Juice," "Love Shack," and "Red Red Wine"

Stay away from people who sing: "Wind Beneath My Wings"

What drink are you?

Just saw this on Holly's blog. I thought I would have been a beer or a margarita!

You Are Sex On the Beach

When comes to drinking, you like it to go down smooth.
You really don't like the taste of alcohol - just its effect on you.
So, you're proud to get drunk on fruity, girly drinks.
Because once you're liquored up, the fun begins!

I found it!

I have found the surface of my desk. It was under piles and pile of stuff! :) But I'm not done yet. Most of the stuff is in piles on the floor and there are a few piles on the desk that I need to sort and organize, but it's still way better than it was! :)
