Is anyone else addicted to Facbook games? First it was Bejeweled, then Fishville, Petville, Zoo World. Maybe it has something to do with the winter blues. I'm so sick of winter. We had a lot of rain yesterday, so most of this snow is gone. It might look nice at first, but the piles of dirty snow everywhere are so ugly! No one scraps photos of that!

Anyway, I've been dealing with some ugly stuff and feeling down. I'm finding out a lot of things and I'm so thankful for my friends who have been there for me. I worked the day shift last week and that really threw me off. I stayed home from work yesterday with a nasty sinus infection and sore throat. I still feel yucky today, but I guess I need to buck up and go in.

Last week, we went to a memorial service for Aunt Nettie and it was really one of the nicest services I've been too. Her grandson was the pastor of the church and her whole family was involved in the service. Nettie, who was 98, is my grandmother's aunt so I really don't know much about that branch of the family.

I was very moved by the stories people shared and even proud of my grandmother who got up and spoke. She talked about how during the Depression years, they would visit Nettie and she always had food for them. One of her grandsons talked about how Nettie met a nurse in the hospital and how a few months later that nurse became his wife. They talked about how she traveled the world, worked hard, organized events, volunteered and gave to charities and loved her family. It was so very sweet.

On Saturday, I cropped with the ladies and a great time. Here are some pages I got done along with a few others...

I finally scrapped Holly's awesome Lollipop Smiles photos from our 80s party with some funky stuff from Studio Gypsy.

I scrapped about my Beatles obsession for the Hodge Podge "B" challenge.

I used Tania's cute my One True Love from Funky Playground for this page. I got Penny a new little toy for Valentine's Day.
This was another toy for Penny. I used one of NeeNee's templates for a playday and Flergs' Estranged kit.
I just love Irene Alexeeva's Cheese Alphas and had to do a page with them.

And here are the girls on Valentine's Day. We went to their house for dinner, brought then a few little presents, played Wii. Good times!

It's still snowing!

It has been snowing all day here in Jersey and it's supposed to keep on snowing all night. I called out from work for the first time because of snow. I kept having flashbacks of getting stuck in my car and caused myself to worry so much that I couldn't sleep last night. So driving to work in the snow in my Toyota didn't seem like a good idea!

I finally took a nap in the afternoon and felt much better. I worked on some pages and even made dinner. I feel guilty about calling out, but oh well. Here's Penny out in the snow early this morning before it really started piling up.

And here are some pages....

I'm going to try to keep up with the Hodge Podge all about me challenges this year. I've really liked the challenges so far. The first one was "a is for" and I did this page about stuff that is awesome. Credits
The second challenge is about siblings and I got out the scanner today and did this page about my family. Credits

Irene Alexeeva is back as a guest at SBG this month and I love her super cute kits. I used her stuff to finally scrap Lucia's 2-year-old portrait. Credits

I did a little bit of catching up on my Art Journal while I was watching the Super Bowl. This was the 2nd week's challenge and I was inspired by the weekly artist who creates a lot of calendars and birds. I kept track of all my twitter posts from my furlough week and used them to make this page. Now I'm only three weeks behind! LOL! I do have most of my pages planned out - but I need time to really work on them. Credits

And this page started out as my page for this week's Art Journal then turned into a page about Penny and then turned into one about my brother and sister. And can you tell I am obsessed with owls. Credits

Wow, I've sort of neglected my blog since my furlough week ended! I've been pretty exhausted since I've been back at work. I think the crazy mix of hours is really adding to it. My schedule from Monday-Friday looks like this: 4-12, 5-1, 5-1, 12-8 and 1-9. I have been sleeping until 1 or 2 p.m. most days lately. And I never feel like I have time or energy. I'm working on some ideas on getting a routine going.

Here's what I've been up to ...
- Saw Crazy Heart - really great movie. Sort of like the Wrestler, but about a washed up country singer. Really great performance by Jeff Bridges and catchy songs, too.
- Got lost in the new Super Walmart in North Bergen.
- Had a nice long lunch with Betty for her birthday at Charritos.
- Felt sad about Mark Sanchez and the Jets not making it to the Super Bowl after an awesome season.
- Got all anxious about the premier of Lost. Worried about all the unanswered questions. Spent much of yesterday reading Doc Jensen's analysis and chatting with pals about it.
- Found a new show to love: Life Unexpected.
- Playing too much Fishville, Petville, etc. on Facebook.

And of course I did some scrapping so here's a little catch up, including a few that seemed to have slipped through the cracks ...

Here's T's first-grade portrait. She's looking so grown up! I did this page with lots of goodies by Dianne Rigdon. Credits

And I could have sworn I posted this but I can't even seem to find it in my galleries! Well, Penny finally mastered "down" during my week off! I can't tell you how proud I feel. I'm such a sap for my puppy. It only took a year after training, but she gets its now and I had to scrap about it. I did this one for a Hillary Heidelberg play day with a super cute kit by Rosey Posey called Free to Be.

Here are my new Christmas ornaments using a fab template by my pal Tania Shaw. Credits

K has a little crush on Mikey. It's become a big family joke so I had to scrap it. She'll probably kill me over this one someday! PixelWork's Soul on Fire is one of my new favorite kits. Credits

Another one I forgot to post here! My niece's in their dance portraits. And another fab kit by Tania. This is one of my favorite pages lately. Credits

Here's another art journal page. I'm so behind on these! This assigment was about color - so I did a little playing around with a photo of flowers mom had on the table. Credits

Here's another one with Soul on Fire. This is my friend Heather and my friend Dean's arm with some ketchup and some True Blood. Credits

My grandmother's Aunt Nettie recently passed away so I wanted to put together a page to remember her. I used Randi Oh's Oh Shabby and Wendyzine's awesome cluster action that comes with it. Credits
And these were some extra shots from my Christmas card shoot. I heart my puppy. Credits.
