Crop stuff

I had so much fun at the crop yesterday. Krista came to crop with us this time - so I got to hang out with her, Melissa and some of the other ladies I've gotten to know at the crop each month.

I was feeling pretty exhausted, so I didn't get as much done as I usually do, but I did get some pages done. I have two that need finishing and got two other done that I can't share yet, but here are few I worked on.

Penny and her pals at graduation. Credits.
I took these photos of the girls the last time they slept over. Credits
Betty on her birthday. Credits
And here's one I did for a Studio Start challenge to use Maya's fabulists. These are some of the crazy things I am afraid of. I know, I'm weird. Credits

I'm waiting for dinner to get here and for the Oscars to get started! Can't wait to see Hugh Jackman as host. I saw a lot of the movies that are nominated, so it's going to be fun to watch.

Yay it's Friday!

This has been one of the longest weeks ever! After a nice weekend - hung out with friends saw He's Just Not That Into You - I had a sinus infection and felt pretty crummy. Taylor had off from school this week, so she was here with me for three days. And work was crazy with people off and more updates to our redesign project. So I've just been feeling exhausted. Luckily, I seem to have kicked the sinus thing and I slept in pretty late today!

I should be getting to work, but I'm procrastinating. So I thought I'd share a few pages.

Here's Taylor's kindergarten portrait, which I scrapped for a Bluebell play day. Credits. We had a pretty good time - even considering how tired I've been. She really loves to draw - she drew lots of pictures of Penny, flowers and hearts. She also wanted to cut everything out and staple it! She's as talkative as ever - and she really cracked me up a few times. One day she told me I needed to have perseverance - and she knew what that meant!

I did this one for a Studio Start using a color it combo. I've been wanting to scrap these photos since the summer. I was so happy the polar bear at the zoo wasn't being lazy for once! Credits

And I made these Valentines for the girls, Mom & Randi this year. Credits. It was fun to be crafty! I'm not big on Valentines day - but I did get to spend the weekend with lots of people I love so that was pretty awesome for once. I saw some friends I hadn't seen in awhile at the bar, had dinner with mom (it was pretty funny - we went to a dinner which was filled with little old ladies), saw a movie with my sis, helped my brother pick out a computer, hung out at Betty's watching the history channel and played with my dog.

I'm super excited about tomorrow. I'm cropping with Melissa and Krista! I'll have to get my stuff ready tonight because I really should get ready for work now.

For Anna

The Studio designers have come together to create this grab bag for Anna Benjamin, one of my fellow crew members, who undergoing treatment for cancer. All proceeds (after paypal fees) will go directly to Anna and her family to use for housecleaning, meals, childcare, or whatever they feel they need during this time of treatment and recovery. You can see the spoiler previews in the store too - it's really a great deal! Grab it here!

Saturday stuff

Happy Saturday! I am being a super lazy bum today. I'm still in my pjs. I should probably change though because I'm a little soggy after giving Penny a bath. I did finish up some Valentine cards, though. I will post them once I give them out.

And I wanted to say thanks to all of you who have left me some good wishes this past week. I've been so down, but it helps knowing that I have lots of good friends. I got a lot of work done on the redesign project yesterday so I'm hoping work will be a little easier this week.

Anyway, I have a few scrappy things I wanted to share! First, there are some lovely Valentines freebies from the Studio Crew on the SBG blog.

And my friend Kim Jensen came out with a new element set this week that is just so cool! Check out her Damaged Goods at Scrapdish. This would be great for scrapping destructive kids or pets or even to get your quirk on! I need to get in a creative mood because I can't wait to use this!

Wearing my cranky pants

I'm in such a funk lately. I'm so tired and I've had nasty headaches. I've been staying late at work between trying to get a project done and all the people off on furlough. And I can't seem to get more than 5 hours of sleep a night. Ugh! I've been spending too much time trying to nap and no time getting stuff done.

My weekend OK. My nieces were over and I really missed them! I hadn't seen the girls in about a month. Randi and I went out to dinner on Saturday night to our favorite Mexican place with our aunt and then Sunday we tried to see He's Just Not That Into You but it was sold out! We ended up seeing Gran Torino. Is it bad that I thought Clint Eastwood's Archie Bunker meets Rambo character was funny. Other than that, I took the dog for some walks because the weather was nice and tried to catch up on sleep.

It was nice to have a Sunday without having to drive to PetSmart! Penny's graduation was last weekend. Isn't she so cute!

Anyway.... enough complaining. Here are some pages from this week.

The girls and my brother. I don't get enough photos of him. Credits

So many reasons I love my dog! Credits

I was such a cutie! What happened! Credits

It's been a while

Greetings Earthlings! I used to use that phrase a lot when I went through my Marvin the Martian phase. I felt so weird as a teenager that I used to say I was from Mars. Just another random thing about me. Seems like I've been learning lots of random things about people since that's a tag going around on Facebook.

Speaking of Facebook, I have been unfriending a lot of people. I'm sorry if you're one of them. But I'm sticking with people who I know. I have always just accepted anyone as friends, so there are a lot scrappers I am friends with and I have no idea who they are. I am keeping friends I know from boards, teams, chats or shops -and there are a lot of them! Is it me, or is Facebook just exploding lately. So many people who I really do know have been joining up and finding me.

Not much has been up with me. I'm just tired from work. Busy with the redesign project. Excited about our new president and the return of Lost. Working with Penny on her training. Trying to save money (and not doing a good job at it). Taking my 365 photos. Scrapping. Listening to Bruce Springsteen (he's everywhere lately). And I am so sick of winter. I can't remember the last time we've had so much snow.

This weekend I did laundry and shopped for groceries (two things I almost never do on weekends), hung out with Betty for the second weekend in a row, saw the Wrestler (really great movie), went to Penny's last class and graduation, and watched the Super Bowl. I just hung around scrapping while Mom and I watched the game last night. (Yay Steelers!) And I thought it was funny how Mom had to explain calls and stuff to me. She knows way more about the game than I do.

Now for a catch up on scrapping. I'm finally done (woohoo!) with all the pages for my Christmas album! I am so in love with multiphoto and double page templates right now! They really helped me stick to my goal of doing all these pages. I do need to do one more page of journaling (which I'm just going to copy off the blog) and the cover, which I've decided to do in paper!

I scrapped this two-pager about New Year's Eve while I watching the Super Bowl last night. Credits TK. I used Tracy Blankenship's awesome Templates With Attitude Doubles and lots of stuff by Holly McCaig.

I scrapped my little sweetie with the new Studio collab, Impressions of Delight. Credits
Hanging out with Amanda and Haley at the Hard Rock. Credits
I've been playing with Photoshop a bit lately and have felt inspired to try something different. I did this page for Phuong Ton play day and was inspired by the background. I called this one Penny's Garden. (Stay tuned for a sequel that I can't post yet!). Credits
This is another one where I played with PS a lot. I added the fence, bird, snow and Penny to the photo and took out some random people! Credits
My SIL took all these photos of the girls for her Christmas card this year. I just loved all these faces. Credits

Another two-pager using Tracy's templates for K's birthday party! Credits.
And a wrap up of Christmas morning. Credits
