10 favorite things about my trip to California!

So I recently went to Anaheim, California, with my friends from the Mommy & Gracie show for VidCon! It was such a crazy week. VidCon is a celebration of all things YouTube with stuff for professionals as well as fans and it also happens to be organized by two of my favorite YouTubers, Hank & John Green.

If you want to watch some of our adventures, here are some videos from Mommy & Gracie. I am going to try to put one together too (Here it is. I finished the vid before I finished writing this!). Some of you might remember I used to have another blog called 10 Things because I loved lists and I think I need to start those up again!  These are my 10 favorite things about the trip.

1. I got to see Hank Green and some other awesome YouTubers, like Hannah Hart and Rhett & Link.

2. Met some really cool people, like the adorable and super smart Presley from ActOutGames and people like Syndey and her mom Kristina who are big fans of M&G! This is always my favorite part of any convention - not the big stars, but people who are more like me!

3. Getting to see my friends Haley and Amanda! They were my own personal tour guides at Disneyland! It's been about five years since I've seen them.

4. It's a Small World - I love this ride, but this version at Disneyland was extra awesome with characters from Disney movies! I didn't see those in Orlando!

5. I had so much fun hanging out with Gracie. We spent a lot of time hanging around the expo floor, playing over sized games and dancing in the silent disco. Back at the hotel, we watched YouTube videos and made up crazy ideas for Monster High lines. We laughed so hard!!!

6. In & Out Burger. We made two trips. Those animal fries are so good!

7. Mad T Party at Disneyland! So much fun. They are a really great band!

8. Toy Hunting. Because I was with the Doll Hunters we had to go toy hunting! We found some awesome Funko Pops right at the LootCrate booth and we visited a bunch of Targets and Toys R Us stores. Founds lots of cool stuff from Monster High, Littlest Pet Shoppe, Mash 'Ems, Ever After High.
We also had plenty of toys with us, too! Lil Penny came with me and so did a bunch of my Funko dudes.

9. These awesome Legos at Downtown Disney!

10. Disneyland. While it might be smaller than Walt Disney World, I think it was cool how California Adventure and Disneyland were so close together! There were come cool features that Florida doesn't have - the Indiana Jones ride, the story book ride. the Mad T Party, all that Cars stuff! The lines weren't bad and the weather was just so nice. It was all pretty magical!

New Videos: More blind bags, toys and Penny!

I'm trying to post a new video each week over on my YouTube channel! I am still so surprised that anyone is watching them. This latest batch features some of my toy collecting addictions and, of course, Penny!

I hate how blogger previews videos! Just sayin!  Here's Penny trying out a new toy - a discovery wheel in which she had to find hidden treats.

These are more  blind bag openings. I really want to get all of the Lego Movie minfigs. I might just order the ones I am missing online!

And here's a review of some of my new Littlest Pet Shop pets. I've been collecting these guys "for my nieces" forever and the new line is really so cute!

I've also done some fun videos with Mommy & Gracie, including a look at some of my favorite Funkos and a really crazy Chubby Bunny challenge.

I hope you'll check out our videos. I know this is a long list! Please like, comment and subscribe, too!

Penny faces the dark side!

I am really having fun making videos! And I am even more impressed that people are watching them!

Here's a new Penny video. She was being crazy fighting her Darth Vader toy!

I am obsessed with blind bags. I think this started back at Comic Con when I got the Doctor Who Titan figures. I love blind bags so much, I even like opening other people's blind bags! I hung out with my friends Mommy & Gracie recently and helped them do just that! I have been opening lots of Littlest Pet Shop, Lego Movie mini figs and some others.

And I feel like I waited forever for Frozen to come out on DVD! I was so excited I made a video about that, too.

More fun with iMovie!

I am really having fun figuring out video editing. I am staying up late putting together videos the way I used to stay up and play with brushes or download fonts when I first started learning Photoshop. Of course, back then, I was also working nigh hours, so staying up late wasn't a big deal.

I've been putting together some videos featuring my baby niece, but I'm saving those for my family. So I've been sharing some Penny stuff and toy collecting stuff. Here are my two newest videos.

I don't like how YouTube/Blogger is displaying! You can't see my graphics! Boo!!!

Here's one in which I open up some Doctor Who blind boxes. I was pretty happy with my haul!

And here's one in which I go looking for this little blue dog that I just fell in love with at Toy Fair! This also has some commentary from Penny! :)

And if you really want to laugh at me, here's a new video from Mommy & Gracie called "Miss Robin's Revenge," in which I get to show off my arrow slinging skills!

I lurve YouTube

Have I mentioned lately how much I love YouTube??? The shows recording on my DVRs are just backing up while I watch videos. But there's so much good stuff. And I don't just mean videos of cats playing piano or Harlem Shake videos.

Here's some of the stuff I love lately...

If you're a fan of Pride & Prejudice, check out the Lizzie Bennet Diaries. It's a smart, funny, modern spin on the story. I watched all of the episodes in about a week. I love how Lizzie and her sisters and friend act out the parts of the other characters. The Darcy bowtie is my favorite. (It's also produced by Hank Green, one of my favorite Vlogbrothers - I love all of their channels. I can watch them talk about science, pennies, anything.)

I am obsessed with the Nerdist podcast, and Nerdist also has a channel. My favorite shows are Neil Patrick Harris' Puppet Dreams and Chris Hardwick's All-Star Celebrity Bowling.

I've only seen one episode of Bravest Warriors, but I need to catch up! It's created by Pendleton Ward, who also created one of the shows I do keep up with on the DVR - Adventure Time.

I also subscribe to Team Coco, LateNight and Chelsea Lately - so I can see lots of clips of late night shows without having to record them all.

I can't get enough of Kid President. His Pep Talk vid is so adorable - "Don't stop believing - unless your dream is stupid." What's even more awesome is that even though this kid has brittle bone disease and has had to have lots of surgeries, he's got such a great outlook on life. He reminds me not to be so grumpy!

And of course there's the Mommy & Gracie Show, made by one of my besties and her super cool daughter. And I just don't love it because I'm a occasional guest star! (I've cast myself as a wacky neighbor. And I even got a hello in the fan mail!)

Mommy and Gracie are super funny - so please check out their vids and subscribe. They also have me way hooked on Monster High!

If you want to see videos about Penny and/or Doctor Who toys, you can see my videos here.
