Summer scraps!

If I ever catch up on on my scrapping that will mean my life will have gotten very boring! It's Labor Day Weekend and summer has once again gone by too quickly. I just had my August vacation and even that seems to have slipped by. But there were lots of cool adventures - trips to BronyCon in Baltimore, Coney Island and Turtle Back Zoo. I never did get around to any of my projects like cleaning out the hallway or getting a cabinet for my scrapbook stuff. Well, I guess they are fall projects now!

I did go to a crop last weekend and have been scrapping here and there over the last few weeks. Some new pics and oldies in the mix!

Hanging out with Amanda at Disney! One of the best things about my California trip!

The big kiddos on Halloween last year.

My friend Carrie always has beautiful photos of her daughter in her Christmas cards - I finally got around to scrapping these.

We took Maddie to the zoo for her first birthday and she had to tell all the animals that

Maddie loved this bouncing saucer.

Portraits from Christmas.

Learning to crawl!

Look at those teeth! She's so cute.

Fun in the pool and sandbox.

My cousin is a rock star! She's so cool.

A scary day when Penny got off the leash.

Penny and her weird hiding spots.

Good times with the Bad Parts and my awesome friends.

And here's a page about my awesome birthday this year.

So many scraps!

I feel like such a slacker when it comes to my scrapping because my list never seems to get shorter, but when I organize my pages to post here, I impress myself! I still manage to get some memories scrapped.

My scrapbooking anniversary is coming up soon! I started playing around with Photoshop and lurking in forums in 2004 and posted my first layout at Scrapbook-Bytes in October. And my life is so much better because of it!

Baby shower page - so many presents!

These kids clean up nice!

That time I found a box of Muppet ornaments that were forgotten in the basement!

This guy just turned 4!

This kid just turned 1!

And she already knows how to drive!

And she loves her doggie!

Back to scrapping

So yesterday, I finally made it to a crop!!! I had so much fun hanging out with my friend M even though I didn't get much done! But I did finish four pages - which is pretty great considering how little I've been getting done lately.

So here are some recent pages....

Using my random number list system, I've gotten some pages scrapped from this past Christmas - I usually fall so behind on holidays! I just scrapped two years of Christmases to catch up for the last gift album I made. I love Traci Reed's 365 Unscripted templates from Sweet Shoppe. So many ways to use them to scrap lots of pics and get pages done. I don't need these pages to be fancy - but I just want them in the books! The third features the Lego postcard I made featuring Penny and myself!

This is another page that's been on my list for ages. My friends and I had fun doing senior portrait-type poses on a visit to NYC. Haley was so little then!

I finally got caught up on Kylie's soccer pictures - and then I just went to another game! :) She's really getting so good. She plays on two teams these days and is the only girl on her travel team.

These are some pics from Maddie's first day!

Hard to believe she's getting so big! Here she is playing at the park.

Maddie was ready for her first Super Bowl!

My Lego K'nex Yellow Submarine. This was such a disaster putting it together, but I still had to scrap it!

St. Patrick's Day at my local pub. My mom even made her annual appearance.

I finally started a page on Art of Brick exhibit I saw last year - and once I had the photos picked I decided I didn't want to add anything else too it. I really like how it looks!

And this is a page about one of my other obsessions lately - theater! I have been going to see lots of plays and have also taken my nieces along. I hope they'll love musicals and plays too!

I haven't been spending much time scrapping lately, but I have gotten a bunch of pages done lately. And some big multiphoto things that have been on the list for awhile. Mostly I've been busy and I'm going to miss another crop this month so I'm going to need to find some time to get some more pages crossed off my list!

By the way, this week was so awesome. I got Frozen on DVD and I just saw Muppets Most Wanted. I got some awesome new toys. We had three parties at work - and they weren't even for anyone leaving - including a surprise wedding shower that really was a big surprise! I am really happy that spring is finally here, even if the weather is still kind of mixed. It's been lighter out when I get out of work. Even work hasn't been as stressful.

I'm working on another instagram project called 100 Happy Days, in addition to #PennyPug365. I saw some people posting about it on Facebook and I decided to join. I found this detail on the website very disturbing:  71% of people tried to complete this challenge, but failed quoting lack of time as the main reason. These people simply did not have time to be happy. Do you?

Isn't that sad. People don't have time to be happy.

My one word for this year is bright and I really am trying to fight my grumpy disposition so I thought this would be a good experiment. I already take so many photos anyway. So the site says people who take this challenge do feel happier and notice other positive side effects, so why not! My username is rmcabana on Instagram if you want to follow my pics.

Anyway... back to scrapping. Here's my round up of the rest of February and so far in March.

Some pictures from Christmas morning and day 2012. Finally getting some of those pages done!

We took Derek to see the big tree for the first time in December.

My buds & I celebrating at the Rover christmas party.

This photo was in the paper featuring Kylie playing with some legos!

Maddie was in her Batgirl gear looking so cool!

Mad is so expressive - these were a bunch of pics I took on a car ride.

Derek is finally taking interest in his little cousin. He had so many things to show her!

Maddie at three months in here cute football hat!

More floor exercise time! It's so hard to believe that she was doing her floor exercise just a few months ago and now she's dong this....

Here's mom with her grandkiddos at her birthday party last August.

Here's a Randi page - she was out running this Powder Puff game on one of the hottest days of the year - just about a week before Maddie was born.

Here's a page about the award I won at work! It was so cool. Had to scrap it of course.

There was a challenge at TLP about a childhood memory - so I shared this one about how I once had a pet duck for a day. That has been on my scrap list for a long time!

This was tough. Another challenge - no words! I think this page looks so naked, but I think it's cool.

Terra cotta warriors. Finally scrapped. I love these photos so much so I didn't even use elements.

And here are my friends in their sweet production of Wizard of Oz!
